SUPPLY TEACHING IN ENGLAND FOR (Overseas Trained Teachers)
Four Year Rule
- OTTs from outside the EEA are able to teach in England as a temporary teacher for up to four years without the need to gain (QTS) Qualified Teacher status.
- QTS - In order to work as a permanent, qualified teacher in England or to continue working as supply teacher after 4 years from the date you first taught in England,

Visas
If you are not a citizen of an EU member state you will need a current working visa or work permit to teach in the UK. This must be arranged prior to your arrival.

INDUCTION TRAINING
Trust Education provide induction training for teachers who are new to supply. The sessions cover; preparation and planning, a typical school day, tips on behaviour management
and new initiatives within education. We learn from the experiences of supply teachers who’ve been working through Trust in a wide range of London schools.
Trust also offer new supply teachers the chance to shadow one of our established and experienced teachers during the course of their working day, in order to gain confidence.
